Emily Heezen
Jr. Project Manager
Emily joined the Equip Studio team in August 2018 after graduating from Clemson University with a Master of Architecture degree. Emily grew up in the great plains of South Dakota where she attended South Dakota State University. She graduated at the top of her class at SDSU and received the Enrichment Award from the South Dakota AIA. The grant from this award allowed her to travel, photograph, write, and publish her book “Mies: Through the Lens.” The book documents monumental buildings by architect Mies Van der Rohe in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and New York City. She then moved to South Carolina to attend Clemson University and earn her Master’s degree.
Emily has a passion for photography and communicating ideas through graphic design. She is also one of Equip’s resident drone pilots. Outside of work, you’ll find Emily spending time with her beloved Bombay cat Hunter, reading biographies, or listening to a true crime podcast.
